Terms & Conditions

Last updated October 11, 2026

1. Who you're contracting with

These terms are an agreement between you and Latisha Williams, trading as Kkumvia, a solo studio based in Jefferson, Georgia, USA ("KKUMVIA", "we", "us"). KKUMVIA provides business development guidance, website creation, business systems and virtual administrative support.

2. Acceptance

By using this website, the client portal, or our services, you agree to these terms. If you use them on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it; if you are an individual, you confirm you are of legal age.

3. Services and scope

Each engagement is defined by an approved quote and signed service agreement ("Scope"). Work outside the Scope requires written approval, and additional time is billed at the agreed hourly rate. Our guidance is organizational and educational; we do not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial or other regulated professional advice, and we do not guarantee business results.

4. Your account

Keep your portal login confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Never share passwords or payment card details through forms, messages or files; use secure account invitations instead.

5. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, portal or services, including:

  • using them for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive, or to send spam;
  • uploading content that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
  • introducing malware, probing or testing for vulnerabilities, scraping, or interfering with security or other users;
  • reverse engineering, reselling, or circumventing technical limits.

6. Document Assistant (AI features)

The portal includes an AI tool that summarizes text or images you provide and suggests action items. You are responsible for what you submit, for having the right to submit it, and for checking results before relying on them — AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and is not professional advice. Do not use it to generate illegal, hateful, deceptive or infringing content or to attempt to bypass its safeguards. We may remove content, restrict outputs, or suspend access for misuse. Rights holders may report concerns through our contact page; repeated infringement leads to account termination.

7. Intellectual property

KKUMVIA retains ownership of this website, the portal software, our templates, methods, documentation and branding. You keep ownership of materials you provide and grant us a limited license to use them solely to deliver your services. Ownership of final deliverables transfers to you as set out in your service agreement once paid in full.

8. Payments, billing and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, taxes, cancellations and refunds for online payments are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy. Project work generally requires a 50% deposit, invoices are due within 7 days, and unused monthly support hours do not carry forward, unless your agreement says otherwise. Third-party costs (domains, hosting, subscriptions) are yours unless included in your Scope.

8a. Website Hosting & Updates and Website Handoff

Managed hosting is offered as Essential Hosting ($49/month, no included editing), Growth Hosting ($99/month, up to 30 minutes of minor edits) or Premium Hosting ($179/month, up to 90 minutes of minor edits). Hosting is billed monthly in advance, invoices are due within 7 days, and included editing time does not roll over. Extra updates are $45/hour and new sections or layout refreshes $90–$225, quoted first. You may cancel future months at any time; we may pause hosting for invoices more than 14 days overdue after notice. Hosting is offered only where technically and commercially feasible, and provider usage beyond normal levels may require a revised plan. Website Creation + Handoff (Starter $850, Business $1,050, Premium $1,550, including a $200 handoff allowance where supported) transfers your website and related accounts to accounts you control once paid in full; after handoff you manage future hosting and edits, and KKUMVIA does not provide ongoing editing.

Website Essentials has Starter (up to 3 pages) and Business (up to 5 pages) configurations, each with 2 consolidated revision rounds. Starter creation + handoff is $650 build + $200 handoff allowance = $850 total; Business is $850 + $200 = $1,050; Premium is $1,350 + $200 = $1,550. The $200 allowance is already included in these handoff totals, not charged again. Build-only pricing excludes handoff and ongoing hosting.

9. Service level

Hosting and remote support do not guarantee an uptime percentage, immediate replies or emergency fixes, or after-hours coverage. Support is handled within agreed availability.

We work remotely and do our best to keep the website and portal available, but we do not guarantee they will be uninterrupted or error-free. Timelines are good-faith estimates unless marked firm. Services are provided "as is", and implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, KKUMVIA is not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages (such as lost profits, data or goodwill), and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify KKUMVIA against claims arising from content you provide, your unlawful use of the services, or your breach of these terms.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of these terms. When access ends, you may request an export of your files within 30 days; after that, data may be deleted as described in our Privacy Notice.

13. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, with disputes heard in the courts of Jackson County, Georgia. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of the business. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may update these terms and will post the new date above.
